My name is Emma Westray and having the opportunity to teach at Cathy's
Dance Studio is an absolute pleasure. I have been dancing for over 10 years,
and each year I find new reasons to love everything about dancing. Joining the
friendly staff at the studio has only enhanced my dancing experience, and I am
always excited to share my passion for dance with the young dancers in my
classes.
I have been trained in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Hip-Hop and my personal favourite
Tap. Coming from a family that has always encouraged the arts, I learned at a
young age that dance was a way for me to express myself. I am elated that I can
now be a role model for younger dancers, and pass on my knowledge to them. I
believe that a balance between technique and expression is where the greatest
dance moments are created.
I am a graduate of Sandwich Secondary School and am currently a student at the University of Windsor for a
double honours major in French and Dramatic Studies. In the past I have used my passion for dance to help
choreograph various projects, be it musical numbers in school productions of "Grease", "High School
Musical" and "Footloose", or talent show numbers for small ensembles.
I look forward to sharing time with your children and showing them my love for dance and teaching, as well as
helping them find their own voice in the dance world.
